blockzero docs
blockzero is a launchpad where the first 20% of every coin is bought for the community, inside the same transaction that creates the coin. Nobody can buy before it. That first buy is blockzero, and it goes to holders, not to us.
Anyone can launch a coin for 2 SOL. When it goes live, blockzero buys 20% of the supply at creation and hands it out: 10% drips to $ZERO holders over 12 hours, 9% is held in a 12-hour vault for the coin's own holders, and 1% goes straight to the dev who submitted it.
The short version: devs pay 2 SOL to launch, trading fees from $ZERO and every blockzero coin pay for the rest of the 20% buy, holders receive the tokens automatically, and blockzero only ever buys. Nothing to claim, nothing sold.
Why blockzero
On most launches, the first buyers are bots. Snipers watch for new coins and buy in the very first block, then sell into everyone who arrives after them. Real buyers start every launch behind, paying a higher price for coins the bots already own.
blockzero takes that first position before anyone else can. Our buy happens inside the create transaction, so there is no gap for a bot to get in ahead of it. Snipers can still buy, but only from block one onwards, after 20% of the supply is already set aside for holders.
Instead of feeding the people who extract from launches, the earliest and cheapest tokens go to the people who stick around: $ZERO holders, the coin's own holders, and the dev who brought the coin.

The launch
A coin is created and bought in one transaction. The create instruction and blockzero's buy are bundled together and land in the same block, so the buy executes at the very first price on the bonding curve.
The launcher opens
Once the cooldown has passed and the pot can cover the next 20% buy, launching opens to everyone.
A dev launches
Name, ticker, image and an X account, plus the 2 SOL fee. The first dev to launch takes the slot, and the cooldown starts again.
Create and buy, one transaction
The coin goes live and 20% of supply is bought at blockzero.
Tokens go out
1% to the dev immediately, 10% starts dripping to $ZERO holders, 9% goes into the vault.
Because the buy is part of creation itself, there is no moment where the coin exists without blockzero already taken.
Where the 20% goes
Every launch splits the same way. Each block below is 1% of the coin's supply.
The 12-hour drip
The 10% for $ZERO holders is not dropped all at once. It is sent out in small amounts over the 12 hours after launch, straight into holder wallets.
Time-weighted
Each payout is shared by how much $ZERO you hold and for how long you have held it during the drip. Holding through the full 12 hours earns the full share. Buying $ZERO right before a payout earns almost nothing, and selling stops your share from that point on.
Why a drip
- It rewards holding rather than timing. There is no single snapshot to game.
- It spreads selling pressure on the new coin across 12 hours instead of one block.
- It keeps $ZERO holders paying attention to each launch while it is live.
The 12-hour vault
The 9% for the coin's own holders is locked for the first 12 hours. At hour 12 the vault checks one thing: is the coin's price at or above blockzero's entry price?
Entry price recorded
The price blockzero paid at creation becomes the bar to clear.
Vault locked
Nobody can touch the 9%. Not the dev, not blockzero.
Survive or burn
At or above entry: the 9% drips to the coin's holders. Below entry: the 9% is burned, permanently reducing supply.
Either way the tokens never return to blockzero, and they are never sold. A coin that survives rewards the people who held it. A coin that does not loses that supply for good, which also helps anyone still holding.
The dev's 1%
The dev who submitted the coin receives 1% of supply at launch, from blockzero's buy. It is a flat amount on every coin, sent to the wallet that paid the launch fee.
The dev does not need to buy their own coin to get a position, and there is no hidden dev bag: anything else the dev holds, they bought on the open market like everyone else.
The launch pot
The 20% buy is paid for by the launch pot. The pot is filled by two things:
- Trading fees from every coin. Fees from trading $ZERO and from trading every coin launched on blockzero flow into the pot continuously.
- Launch fees. Each dev's 2 SOL goes towards their own coin's buy.
Every coin that launches keeps feeding the pot for as long as it trades, so each launch helps pay for the next one. The more the platform trades, the faster the pot fills and the more coins can launch.
The pot wallet is public. Anyone can see its balance and every launch it pays for.
Cooldown
There is no queue, no vote and no fixed launch time. The launcher is either open or cooling down. It opens when two things are true:
- The cooldown since the previous launch has finished.
- The pot holds enough to cover the next 20% buy.
While it is cooling down, the launch button shows a countdown instead. Nobody can pay, so no SOL is ever held waiting for a slot. When it opens, the first dev to launch goes live.
The cooldown gives each coin a window as the newest blockzero launch, so buyers and attention are not split across several coins at once. On busy days the pot refills faster and the launcher opens more often.
We never hold your SOL. You only pay at the moment your coin launches.
How to submit
Anyone can launch. You need:
- A name and ticker for the coin.
- An image for the coin.
- An X account you own. It is shown on the coin page.
- 2 SOL for the launch fee, paid from the wallet that will receive your 1%.
Launch on the launch page. If the launcher is open, your coin goes live as soon as your payment confirms. If it is cooling down, you will see a countdown to the next open slot and nothing is charged.
Double check your name, ticker and image before paying. Coin details are written on-chain at creation and cannot be changed afterwards.
X account check
Every coin must link an X account, and you must prove you own it before the coin can launch. This stops people launching coins in someone else's name and gives holders a real account to follow.
The linked account is shown on the coin's page so buyers can see who is behind it.
After your launch
- Your 1% arrives in your wallet at launch.
- Your coin starts with 20% of supply held for holders instead of snipers.
- $ZERO holders receive your coin over the first 12 hours, which puts it in front of the whole blockzero community.
- If your coin is at or above its entry price at hour 12, its holders receive the 9% vault. That is a reason for people to hold your coin through its first 12 hours.
Holding $ZERO
$ZERO is the token behind blockzero. Holding it means you receive 10% of every coin blockzero launches, dripped into your wallet over each coin's first 12 hours.
- Nothing to claim. Tokens arrive in the wallet that holds your $ZERO.
- Every launch. Each new coin starts a new 12-hour drip.
- Hold to earn. Your share depends on how much you hold and for how long.
Who counts as a holder
Any normal wallet holding $ZERO is included. The following never receive a share, so that rewards go to real holders:
- Liquidity pools
- Exchanges and bridges
- blockzero team and operational wallets
Holding a launched coin
If you hold a blockzero coin, the vault is what matters. If the coin is at or above its entry price at hour 12, the 9% vault drips to that coin's holders, weighted the same way as the $ZERO drip. Holding through the first 12 hours is what earns it.
We never sell
blockzero only buys. The 20% bought at creation is fully distributed or burned: 10% to $ZERO holders, 9% to the coin's holders or burned, 1% to the dev. None of it stays with blockzero, and none of it is sold.
Check it yourself
Every step is an on-chain transaction anyone can look up:
- The create transaction, with the 20% buy inside it.
- Every drip payment to holders.
- The vault result at hour 12, paid out or burned.
- The launch pot's balance and history.
Each coin's page links to its transactions so you can follow its 20% from creation to the last payout.
Risks
Memecoins are extremely risky. Most go to zero. blockzero changes who gets the first block of a launch, it does not make any coin a good investment.
- Coin prices can fall sharply at any time, including during the drip.
- Tokens you receive can lose all their value.
- Smart contracts and infrastructure can fail.
Nothing on this site is financial advice. Only use money you can afford to lose.

FAQ
Do I need to claim anything?
No. Drips and vault payouts are sent to wallets automatically.
Can blockzero sell the 20%?
No. It is all distributed or burned. blockzero only buys.
Is there a vote on which coin launches?
No. Anyone with a verified X account can launch for 2 SOL whenever the launcher is open. There is no queue: the first dev to launch after a cooldown takes the slot.
What if the coin dumps in the first 12 hours?
If it is below the entry price at hour 12, the 9% vault is burned instead of paid out. The 10% already dripped to $ZERO holders is theirs.
Why does the dev only get 1%?
The dev pays 2 SOL, but the 20% buy costs more than that. The rest comes from the pot, which every blockzero coin feeds with its trading fees, so most of blockzero goes to holders. 1% is a flat, simple reward for bringing the coin.
What happens if I try to launch during a cooldown?
You see a countdown to when the launcher opens again. Nothing is charged and no SOL leaves your wallet.
Do I get more for holding more $ZERO?
Yes. Your share of each drip is weighted by your balance and by how long you held it during the drip.
Where do I follow launches?
On the coins page and on X at @blockzeroapp.
